Delundria “Chelsea” Taylor

Read Bio

Delundria (Chelsea) Taylor, COTA/L, a Jackson, MS native & 2019 graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in Kinesiology. In May 2022, she graduated from Holmes Community College with a degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant Technology. She knew occupational therapy was for her when she saw the impact that it made on her grandfather’s life after his first stroke. While attending a few of his therapy sessions, she was beyond amazed at the improvements he made as a result of occupational therapy. Not only did her grandfather have to relearn how to walk, talk and just about everything in between. Occupational therapy (along with other disciplines) made it easy for him to regain his strength to perform daily activities of life. Noticing how this therapy has successfully improved his life physically and emotionally led Chelsea to choose this profession. She desires and strives to make the same smile appear on the faces of others as an occupational therapy practitioner did for her grandfather. A mantra that she lives by is, “If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude.
