Brittany Flaggs

PT, DPT

Dr. Brittany Thomas Flaggs is a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy and co-owner of Healing Hands Rehabilitation Services, LLC, where she aims to provide quality care and promote holistic health and wellness for people of all ages throughout the state of Mississippi. Prior to venturing into private practice with Healing Hands Rehabilitation Services, Dr. Flaggs has practiced physical therapy for over 11 years in various practice settings including outpatient physical therapy clinics, skilled nursing facilities, inpatient rehabs, pediatric early intervention, and home health physical therapy with the geriatric population.

A native of Natchez, MS, Dr. Flaggs graduated magna cum laude from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2007 and was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society. She attained her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in May 2011 while receiving The Neva Greenwald Physical Therapy Award and induction into the Alpha Eta Honor Society. Her honors include receiving the 2017 Young Professional on the Rise – Young, Gifted & Empowered Award, named 2018 Best Dressed Jackson Honoree by the American Cancer Society raising funds and awareness in continuing the fight against cancer, named 2019 Best Physical Therapist in the healthcare category of the Best of Jackson series by the Jackson Free Press, and awarded by the Mississippi Business Journal as a 2021 Top 10 Finalist in the Top 50 Under 40. Dr. Flaggs currently serves as a board member of the Mississippi Chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association serving as Membership Chair and a member the Mississippi State University Alumni Association. She is also an active member of Junior League of Jackson, the Jackson Professional Group, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
Dr. Flaggs is not only passionate about serving others through her career but also serving others by devoting her time, talents, and treasures through her various organizations and projects, such as volunteering with the Mississippi Food Network, Methodist Children’s Home and past service with Stewpot Lunch-n-Learn – Stewpot Community Services Summer Program providing fun and nutritious lunches for children while teaching them about the importance of healthy eating and exercise through Junior League of Jackson, and working alongside her colleagues at Healing Hands Rehabilitation Services through initiatives, such as health fairs providing fall assessments and health screenings for community participants.

Dr. Flaggs resides in Jackson, MS, enjoys spending time with her beautiful daughter Lianne Marie, and is an active participant in her church and community.

Jasmine Smith

PT, DPT

Jasmine Martin Smith, PT, DPT was born and raised in Jackson, MS. She is a Physical Therapist and Co-Owner of Healing Hands Rehabilitation Services, LLC, where she strives to rehabilitate and restore function and quality of life to patients of all ages throughout the State of Mississippi. Dr. Smith received her BS in Biological Sciences/Pre-Physical Therapy with a Minor in Clinical Exercise Physiology from Mississippi State University in 2004 and her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2009.

Dr. Smith has practiced as a Physical Therapist for over 13 years in various settings including pediatrics, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, outpatient physical therapy facilities and home health prior to stepping out on faith and venturing into private practice. In 2017, Dr. Smith was invited to pilot a Physical Therapy Clinic at Jackson-Hinds Comprehensive Health Center, the largest community health center in Central Mississippi.

Dr. Smith’s honors include having received Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 545 from the Mississippi State Legislature, 2017 Young Professional on the Rise-Young, Gifted & Empowered Awards, Jackson (MS) Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. 2017-2018 Red Brick Road Award, featured in SHE’s “This is 30” 2018 Fall Social Media Campaign, Class of 2021 Mississippi’s 50 Leading Business Women, Finalist for 2021 Mississippi Business Woman of the Year, Jackson Free Press Best of Jackson-Best Physical Therapy 2020 and Jackson Free Press Best of Jackson – Best Physical Therapist 2021. 

Dr. Smith resides in Gluckstadt, MS with her husband, Robert III and two children, Robert IV (RJ) and Rylee. She attends New Hope Baptist Church in Jackson, MS, where she is actively involved in several ministries. Dr. Smith is a member of the Jackson (MS) Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, Jackson (MS) Chapter of Jack & Jill of America, Incorporated, Junior League of Jackson, the American Physical Therapy Association, the Mississippi Physical Therapy Association, the National Association of Black Physical Therapists, the American Academy of Physical Therapy and the Mississippi State University Alumni Association.

The Company was founded by Dr. Jasmine M. Smith and Robert J. Smith, III, in 2011 with a partnership with Dr. Brittany Flaggs formed in 2016. Dr. Smith and Dr. Flaggs have more than 13+ years of combined experience as practicing physical therapists. Referring providers and patients seeking rehabilitation services, after initial treatment, will find convenience in utilizing the services of HHRS, as HHRS is currently serving patients in various regions in the State of Mississippi including but not limited to the Mississippi Delta and Central Mississippi. Rehab services are administered in a holistic approach and can be provided in our outpatient clinic and/or via contract in the home and/or facility.
